The race for Spokane mayor is no competition when it comes to fundraising between the two remaining candidates.

Dennis P. Hession is heavily in the lead with fundraising at almost $158,000. Major contributors are development interest and corporate backing groups, such as Community Builders Trust, Prium Companies and Avista Corp.

Mary B. Verner is trudging along with almost $52,000. Major contributors include Indian tribes and corporations, like Harless Aviation, Inc., the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and Avista Corp.

The State Public Disclosure Commission released these updates on Aug. 21, 2007.
